Indications for Use: 

Omeprazole PSK for intravenous administration is indicated as an alternative to oral therapy (tablets, capsules) in adults for the prevention and treatment of the following conditions:

  • Gastric and duodenal ulcers 
  • Erosive and ulcerative lesions of the stomach associated with the intake of anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) 
  • Erosive and ulcerative lesions of the duodenum associated with the intake of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs 
  • Stress ulcers associated with certain neuropsychiatric disorders such as depression, stress, or anxiety 
  • Symptomatic gastroesophageal reflux disease without changes in the esophageal mucosa 
  • Reflux esophagitis (inflammation of the esophageal mucosa due to reflux of stomach contents) 
  • Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (pancreatic tumor that stimulates excess acid production in the stomach) 
  • Prevention of aspiration of stomach contents into the respiratory tract during anesthesia (Mendelson's syndrome)
