Indications for Use:

  • Prevention of venous thromboembolic complications in patients undergoing major orthopedic surgery of the lower limbs, such as hip fracture surgery, including extended prophylaxis in the postoperative period; knee replacement surgery; hip replacement surgery.
  • Prevention of venous thromboembolic complications in patients undergoing abdominal surgery with risk factors for thromboembolic complications.
  • Prevention of venous thromboembolic complications in non-surgical patients with risk factors for such complications due to limited mobility during the acute phase of illness.
  • Treatment of deep vein thrombosis.
  • Treatment of pulmonary embolism, except in hemodynamically unstable patients or patients requiring thrombolytic therapy or embolectomy.
  • Treatment of acute coronary syndrome, expressed as unstable angina or non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction in patients not indicated for urgent (less than 120 minutes) invasive treatment (percutaneous coronary revascularization), to prevent cardiovascular death, myocardial infarction, or refractory ischemia; ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction in patients to prevent death, recurrent myocardial infarction in patients receiving thrombolytic therapy or initially not receiving reperfusion therapy.
  • Treatment of acute symptomatic superficial vein thrombosis of the lower limbs without concomitant deep vein thrombosis.
